Kostanay regional court held a briefing for representatives of mass media, in which the chairmen of judicial boards Vladimir Dolgov and  Arman Shamshiev answered the journalists' questions.

The acting President of the Court, Arman Shamshiev talked about the outcomes of criminal cases’ consideration by the courts in the first half of this year. Chairman of the Board on Civil Cases of Vladimir Dolgov noted an increase in the number of civil cases, terminated in connection with the conciliation procedure. Thus, courts approved 738 agreements with mediation, the same figure was 350  last year.

Responding on the questions about the categories of criminal cases and acquittals, A.Shamshiev reported the cases of private prosecution (slander and insults) have more acquittals. The lowest percentages are cases of private prosecution for bodily injury. In the case of acquittal on the private prosecution case, the victims of slander could apply to the court for non-pecuniary damage. From criminal discharge, the case goes to a civilian, or vice versa.

Reporters raised questions about the withdrawal of land in case if it is not used for the intended purposes and flats from the private property of citizens. A good example is the 90-ies period, when during the crisis people were forced to throw their homes in search of better living conditions.

Media representatives were interested in the consideration of public and high-profile cases, in particular, the "Big akimat case".
