In Atyrau regional court summed up the results of administration of justice in the first half 2016

The Atyrau Regional Court held an expanded meeting on the results of the administration of justice by the courts area in the first half of this year. It was attended by the judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ak-Ghalia Kuova.

The chairman of the regional court Margulan Bekturganov noted that the activities of the courts area are aimed at the implementation of the tasks set by the Head of State at the VI Congress of Judges of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the specific instructions given by the Chairman of the Supreme Court for their implementation: to ensure the quality of justice, the eradication of red tape and compliance rules of judicial ethics, strengthening public confidence in the judicial system.

The chairmen of judicial board informed about the quality of justice in the courts of first and appellate instances.

Chairman of the Board on Civil Cases Adilhadi Shigambaev noted the fact that the courts considered 8349 civil cases during six months of this year. The courts of first instance allowed 17 cancellations and 29 changes of judicial decisions on appeal.

During the reporting period the courts considered 9477 administrative cases against 9477 people, which is 2666 cases less than one the same period of 2015.

The chairman of the judicial collegium on criminal cases of the regional court Tatti Ualieva noted the courts considered 586 criminal cases against 655 persons in the past six months in 2016. In the same period of 2015 over 675 criminal cases against 792 persons were considered. Three sentences against three people were cancelled as well. During the reporting period 9 verdicts against 9 people were changed. The number of acquitted persons is 5.

The judge of the regional court G.Nurzhigitova presented reports on commission’s work in judicial ethics of R. Akkulov and general questions about the activities of  Atyrau regional court’s Administrator G.Dzhumagaliev.

In order to further ensure the strict observance of the operation and quality of justice for all categories of cases, the chairman of the regional court has demanded strict adherence to the principles of justice, protection of rights and legitimate interests of citizens and legal entities.

At the Supreme Court’s meeting the judge G.Ak-Kuova presented to the regional judges the number of specific problems, including raising public confidence in the judicial system.

In general, one can observe improvement in work of the regional courts’ in comparison with the same period last year.

In the end of the meeting there was an awarding ceremony of chairmen and judges which actively participated in the organization of the Games VIII Union of Judges for the western region.
