Verdict against the chief specialist of akimat of the village Umirzak changed

By verdict of Aktau city court the ex-akim A.Mugalov is sentenced to the deprivation of liberty for a period of up to 8 years in penitentiary settlements of a general regime with confiscation of property. Convicted also is punished by the deprivation of the right to hold specific post for a period up to five years.

Also, the chief specialist of akimat R.Uteshov is sentenced to the deprivation of liberty for a period of up to 7 years in penitentiary settlements of a general regime with confiscation of property with the deprivation of the right to hold public post for a period up to three years.

The defendants were found guilty of committing a crime under Article 311 part 4 p. "B" of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan ((acceptance of a bribe by a group of persons with the previous concert).

According to the case file, A.Mugalov requested money in the amount of 500 thousand tenge from one of the rural entrepreneurs for a positive solution to the problem of providing the land. In concert with the ex-akim was chief specialist.

Having considered the criminal case on appeals of convicts and lawyer, appellate judicial board of Mangistau regional court changed the verdict, the actions of the convicted R.Uteshov reclassified to the Article 28 part. 5 - 311 p.4 p. "B" of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan (participation in taking a bribe).

The rest of the sentence upheld.
