In Taraz, at the initiative of the regional court was signed a memorandum on cooperation in the sphere of development of reconciliatory procedures in the area of domestic violence against women.

The memorandum was signed by the chairman of the Zhambyl regional branch of the Union of Judges Takhmina Sultanova, the deputy prosecutor of the city of Taraz Kaiyrzhan Kuatbekov, the head of KSI "Kokamdyk kelisim" of the apparatus of Akim of Zhambyl region Rano Ubaidullaeva, the director of KSI "Zhambyl regional crisis center of coordination of employment and social programs" Zhamal Kalybekova, director KSI "Regional Youth House of the Department of Education of Akimat of Zhambyl Region" Gulnar Turezhanova and Director of the Center for Mediation and Law "Parity" Kenzhes Danabaeva.

The purpose of the memorandum is to ensure the interaction of subjects of prevention of domestic violence and the coordination of their activities, the assistance of state authorities and civil society institutions in the protection of family interests.

Speaking before signing the memorandum, the judge of the Zhambyl regional court Ardak Aketayev noted the actual problem of domestic violence against women today. According to him, the violence has various forms and requires different solutions. Violence against women is part of violence against man in general, and its consequences affect the whole of society. Conciliatory procedures and mediation are attractive in such cases by the fact that they are held for a longer time, and in this connection, the mediator can pay attention to the wrongfulness of the accused's behavior in the family, to cause real self-esteem in his mind, to change his behavior and themes It is most conducive to not only reconciliation of the parties, but also to the preservation of the family, with the positive intention of both sides to build their relations on the basis of respect for each other's rights.

The participants of the memorandum spoke about the need, within the limits of their competence to carry out cooperation on the wide application of conciliatory procedures as alternative ways of resolving legal disputes.
