On «Bnews.kz» held online conference with the participation of judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan A.Kurkbaev

Today on the information portal «Bnews.kz» held an online conference with the participation of judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan A.Kurkbaev on issues of the application the new criminal and criminal procedure legislation.

Online conference is organized in the framework of the Unified State Plan for the transition to a new model of criminal law and criminal procedure codes approved by the Head of the State’s Order on April 9, 2014 for №278.

Collection of questions from the population was carried out during the week on the site «Bnews.kz».

Portal visitors showed great interest in the topic of the conference. In the course of the event was covered by a wide range of issues. It has discussed the mechanisms of court proceedings, application of the regulations of new criminal and criminal procedure legislation. Internet users are interested in a number of innovations and their algorithm implementation in judicial practice. Among them: a criminal offense, the investigating judge, deposition testimony, plea bargain, etc.

There were also questions about how to become a judge and what is required of candidates for these positions.

Judge Kurkbaev A.Zh. noted that developed on behalf of the Head of the State new codes would come into force from January 1, 2015. All of them primarily adapted to international standards and are designed to better protect the legitimate rights and interests of citizens. In this regard, these laws contain new novellas that will get the job done in this area more effective.
