"Judicial office": users’ proposals as a basis for improving service

In 2014, the Supreme Court on the official Internet site (www.sud.kz) has launched an electronic project "Judicial office" - a single window access to online services and the judiciary services.

"Judicial office" is intended to simplify the legal proceedings via electronic interaction, as well as the efficiency, accessibility and the judicial system transparency.

Since the service launch the users appreciated its possibilities: the service is widely used by population and contributes to the effective work of lawyers and representatives and contributes to improve the citizens’ legal culture, the protection of citizens of their constitutional rights. This is clearly evidenced by the statistics. So, if in 2014 105,707 electronic documents were filed via service, in 2015 382 238 e-documents, already for 5 months of the current year the service users sent electronically 266,262 documents.

The "Judicial office" application advantage from the paper document flow in the possibility of operative legal claim delivery in electronic format, application for the issuance of court record, the statement-comments on the report, access to e-supervisory proceeding with the use of electronic digital signature and online payment of state fee via Internet from any convenient for user place.

In the course of the past at the Supreme Court the working meeting with the participation of the management of the Department on support of courts activity and the responsible employees was demonstrated new functional and improved service structure, taking into account the proposals of lawyers and users. In particular, the update service is now "Legal proceedings" includes the separation in areas of the civil law, criminal and administrative proceedings, which allow inexperienced user to use the service without legal advice. And in each tab on the branch of law may obtain the appropriate electronic services.

In the tab "My cases" simplified the ability to review information sent by the user of electronic legal claims and the progress of cases. For the user convenience now the information review on the progress of cases in the first, appeal and cassation instances implemented in one place: the user by clicking on the proper link can view the entire process of moving his case to all instances.

Implementation of modern electronic technologies in the republic judicial system allowed greatly improves the level of public access to justice.

"Judicial office" contributes to phase out paper document flow, which in turn makes it possible to move to a new stage in the e-justice development.

The Supreme Court continues to find further solutions to streamline and automate the legal proceedings process.
