Held a Public Council for the selection of candidates for judges

In North Kazakhstan regional court held a meeting of the Public Council for the selection of candidates for judges.

The meeting opened the chairman of the regional court Muratgali Aketay, who noted the importance and significance of the event.

According to the Regulations of the Public Council under the North Kazakhstan region court, its structure consists of an odd number of members of the local community, including the chairman of the regional court, provides overall management of the Council. The Council consists of judges in honorable retirement, former deputies of the Majilis Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of the party "Nur Otan" and the mass media.

In connection with the announcement of the Supreme Judicial Council contest for the vacant positions of judges of local courts of the Republic of Kazakhstan Public Council declared candidates were considered.

The main criteria for selection of candidates for the vacant positions of judges are the high level of knowledge, moral qualities and impeccable reputation. Candidate who has passed the qualifying exam has successfully completed an internship in court and received a positive review of the plenary session of the court, is involved in the contest for the vacant position of a judge.

After examining the characteristics of the candidates, personal sheets indicating the work, the Public Council were given a positive sign the 8 candidates. Further, their candidates will be considered at a meeting of the Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Particular attention was paid to the professional and personal qualities of candidates for the position of a judge, the circumstances that might discredit the authority and dignity of a judge or cast doubt on his honesty, integrity, fair and impartial administration of justice, as well as the nature, duration and breadth of their experience, the respective responsibilities that would perform.

On behalf of the members of the Public Council the ex-deputy, an honorary citizen of the North Kazakhstan region Raisa Ivanovna Polishchuk thanked the Chairman of the regional court and the judges of the organization of the event, for their work in order to improve the professionalism of judges and strengthen public confidence in the court, and wished success in their work.

The Chairman of the regional court also thanked those present for their active participation in the work of the Public Council and expressed his confidence in future business cooperation.
