Court in Zhambyl region acquitted in a criminal case initiated in order of private prosecution

Private prosecutor S. went to the court with a complaint about bringing criminal liability against K., O., and A. for slander, i.e. dissemination of knowingly false information discrediting his honor and dignity.

In the court session, the private prosecutor showed that on September 1, 2016, material was posted on social networks and a 12-minute video clip with the addresses of entrepreneurs trading in the market "Aul Bereke" in Taraz. According to the private prosecutor of the owner of the "Central Market" S. in the video, A. and O. expressed negative information in video that did not correspond to reality.

Also, in the program "Portrait of the Week" on the channel "KTK" dated 02.10.2016, A, O. and the owner of the market "Aul Bereke" K. spoke about S. that he is the customer of the car's arson on the territory of the market "Aul Bereke ", which occurred on August 30, 2014.

Having examined the criminal case file, after listening to the explanations of the parties, after questioning the witnesses, having examined the material evidence, videotapes, the court found the defendants not guilty and acquitted them for lack of evidence of the crime.

By the court verdict K., O., A. found innocent under Art. 130 Part 3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan and are justified for the lack of a criminal offense in their actions.

The verdict did not come into legal force.
