In Semey official is sentenced for embezzlement of budgetary funds

By court verdict №2 of Semey city to 5 years' imprisonment with deprivation of the right to hold leadership positions in public institutions and enterprises for a period of 3 years, on the basis of Article 63 of the Criminal Code RK citizen Zhurtubaev K. is imposed a suspended sentenced to 2 years, who by the order of the head of the public institution was appointed acting director of public utility company. Convicted, using his official position, for selfish ends, has repeatedly committed corruption crimes. So, issuing false orders for a job and signing fictitious contracts, he claimed time-sheets information about appearance at work «figureheads». Thus, convicted illegally accrued wages nonexistent parties. The total damage to the state amounted to the sum of about 1035188 tenge. This embezzlement of budgetary funds is regarded as a large scale.

The sentence has not come into force.
