Dear veterans and home front workers!

I warmly congratulate you on the Fatherland Defender’s Day and Victory Day. It really is a national holiday, which combined Kazakhstanis of all generations, similar in spirit and content!

Victory Day in Kazakhstan symbolizes heroism and selflessness on the battlefield and in the rear of our older generations’ sake of the future. During the war, every fifth republic inhabitant went off to war. History has saved many examples of the Kazakhstanis courage and heroism. According to newly updated data, 520 of them became Heroes of the Soviet Union and 110 thousand were awarded the Order of Glory.

Everything needed for the Victory in the most difficult conditions made home front workers. They smoothly supplied army combat equipment, food and uniforms. Almost every tank, plane, ship, bomb of the war contained metals produced in the Kazakhstan mines.

Its special role in the modern history of the country on the right took a holiday Fatherland Defender’s Day. At all times, the protection of native land is a high moral and civic duty of every man. Today, this holiday is widely celebrated in kindergartens, schools, labor collectives.

We all clearly see the growth of independent Kazakhstan army mastery. Our Armed Forces have become highly skilled, technically equipped and mobile. Today, the military profession is respected and prestigious, and the opportunity to serve in the army actually became not only a civic duty, but a privilege.

On the eve of these holidays I would like to pay tribute and respect to the selfless heroism of our veterans and home front workers. I sincerely wish you, and all of the Kazakh Army soldiers’ success, good health and prosperity!
