Attorneys, prosecutors, judges, employees of the Department of Internal Affairs, journalists, well-known bloggers and representatives of NGOs took part in the club's work.

Speaking, the judge of the Supreme Court Elena Maksyuta dwelled on the advantages of judicial protection and priority forms of protection of rights. In particular, she recalled that the Constitution recognizes and guarantees human rights and freedoms. Human rights and freedoms belong to everyone from birth, are recognized as absolute and inalienable, everyone has the right to judicial protection of their rights and freedoms, personal freedom, the right to life, freedom of conscience, freedom of speech. These same requirements are also enshrined in Article 14 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, according to which everyone has the right to a fair and public hearing by a competent, independent, independent and impartial tribunal, in the determination of any criminal charge against him or in the determination of his rights and obligations in a civil proceeding, Impartial tribunal. The right to a fair trial is a universally recognized international legal norm, inextricably linked with the right to restore the situation that existed before the violation of a right.

"The fundamental principle of the right to a fair trial is the right of every person charged with a crime to be presumed innocent until his guilt is proven in accordance with the law in a fair trial," Maksiuta stressed.

The speakers discussed the methods of protection and responsibility for violation of the right to defense. In particular, lawyer Yerlan Gazimzhanov raised the issue of paying for activities in the framework of providing free assistance, expressing an opinion on what lawyers should be and their behavior towards the client.

The journalist of the newspaper "Uralskaya Nedelya" Lukpan Ahmadyarov spoke about the problems of migrants, their right to protection.

Noteworthy were the issues of observing the moral principles of media coverage of court sessions. Thus, Irina Moskovka, representative of the NGO Guild of Court Reporters, in her speech, outlined the issue of the right to a public hearing.

As moderator of the discussion, Judge of the Supreme Court Elena Maksiuta noted, "the discussion turned out to be very productive".
