In Almaty region is held workshop on matters of mediation

Almaty regional court within the framework of the republican campaign "Day of mediation" with the assistance of a branch of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan and KSM "Friendship House - Center for Public Accord" held a training seminar on: "Mediation in the field of inter-ethnic relations."

The director of Friendship House T.Kasymberkebaev, chief specialist of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan S.Surabaldinova, director of the West-Kazakhstan Center for Mediation and negotiation process A.Kurtaeva, mediator of Atyrau Mediation Center N.Tulegenova, non-professional mediators and judges of the region took part in the seminar.

Participants of the meeting talked about the activity of Mediation Center of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan activities, especially resolution of ethnic disputes via mediation, the style of negotiation process and conduct mediation, communication technology. There had been conducted role and business games.

"We want to use the system of pre-trial settlement of conflicts in the sphere of inter-ethnic conflicts, mediation technology to prevent them or, if necessary, settlement. Started work by us will provide a basic knowledge of the people who are involved in the implementation of the state national policy strategy "- S.Surabaldinova noted in her speech.

According to her, the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan has begun preparations ethno mediators, who will participate in the prevention and resolution of ethnic conflicts in the country. To help the various institutions of civil society and all who wish to acquire knowledge in this area a number of video courses will be developed, including the causes of conflict, and the ability to negotiate, deal with conflicts, prevent them, and so on.

Judge of Koksu District Court G.Sadabaeva recommended a number of non-professional mediators persons having authority and credible, having a great life and professional experience.

The workshop concluded with the presentation of certificates non-professional mediators and letters of appreciation to the judges, who considered the largest number of cases with the use of mediation.
