Sentence was left unchanged for murderers

By the sentence of Specialized Interdistrict Criminal Court of Akmola region a villager of Astrahanka Mergembaev A. is sentenced to the deprivation of liberty for a period of up to 23 years, and a resident of Kokshetau Iktisamov S. to the deprivation of liberty for a period of up to 20 years in penitentiary settlements of a strict regime. Furthermore, the court ruled to confiscate of all convicted property to the state revenue.

The court found the following. In November 2013 Mergembaev A. learned that a resident of the city of Pavlodar Umarov K.made the purchase of grain in Akmola region while paid up sellers cash. Mergembaev A. suggested his friend Iktisamov S. to cheat Umarov, to engage in negotiations on the terms of the imaginary sale, commit to robbery and kill him to steal money from him.

November 21, 2014 Mergembaev A. and Iktisimov S. went with Umarov to the village Sepe of Atbasar district to view storage, to alleged 1000 tons of grain. At the same time, they ordered to Umarov to bring 14 million tenge to pay for grain.

At 25 km from the village they stopped allegedly due to a malfunction of the car. Mergembaev of previously  prepared shotgun hunting rifle shots in the stomach and head killed Umarov after they searched Umarov’s car, but the money was never found. After a short time they were detained.

By the same sentence was convicted Tarasenko N., who fined the sum of 333,360 tenge that reliably knowing of the impending crime, and then to commit a crime, without notifying the competent authorities.

Having considered given criminal case on appeals of convicts appellate judicial board of Akmola regional court was left unchanged the sentence.
