December 13, 2016 President of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed the act "On amnesty in connection with the twenty-fifth anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan."
In Atyrau regional court there was a "round table" on: "Actual issues of evaluation of evidence on criminal cases."
The chairman of the appellate judicial division for criminal cases K.Nuryshev and judges of the regional court, district and municipal courts, as well as representatives of law enforcement agencies of the region took part in the "round table".
Following the results of 2014 in general the specific gravity of the persons convicted to deprivation of liberty by specialized inter-district criminal courts decreased by 0,3%
1 568 cases came to specialized inter-district courts on criminal cases of all in 2014. From them 1 556 cases or 99,2% are considered with sentencing.
These courts with participation of jurors considered with sentencing 64 cases in the relation of 121 persons, from them 118 persons are convicted, 3 persons are acquitted.
The Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan summed up the results on administration of justice on criminal cases by courts of the republic for 2014. According to data of the UAIAS base last year only 43 878 criminal cases came to the regional and equated to them courts of the republic that on 4 185 cases or 8,7% are less, than in 2013 (48 063 cases). From them, 43 794 criminal cases that is 7,7% lower than indices of 2013 (47 460) are ended.

By the sentence of Specialized Interdistrict Criminal Court of Akmola region a villager of Astrahanka Mergembaev A. is sentenced to the deprivation of liberty for a period of up to 23 years, and a resident of Kokshetau Iktisamov S. to the deprivation of liberty for a period of up to 20 years in penitentiary settlements of a strict regime. Furthermore, the court ruled to confiscate of all convicted property to the state revenue.

The appeal judicial board on criminal cases of West-Kazakhstan regional court considered an appeal of the former chief of the regional administration of tourism, physical training and sports Muslim Undaganov, who was sentenced for 12 years of freedom deprivation by the first instance court.
