Kairat Mami participated in the twelfth session of the Council of the Chairmen of Supreme Arbitration, Economic and Other Courts

On 19-20th of October of the current year in Moscow city there was the twelfth session of the Council of Chairmen of Supreme Arbitration, Economic and Other Courts (hereinafter - the Council) and the Plenum of the Economic Court of the CIS.

The delegation from the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan will take part in the event under the guidance of Kairat Mami.

The Council was established in 2002 by a special agreement, which was signed by eight states (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Ukraine). The Council is a permanent institution to develop common approaches to ensure the effectiveness of justice in the CIS via the interaction of the Commonwealth states highest courts.

At the Council were considered proposals for the modernization of the Economic Court of the CIS and other topical issues of the judicial systems development of the Commonwealth states.

Kazakhstani party highly appreciates the Council's capacity to improve national justice systems. Meetings within the framework of the Council provide a good opportunity to exchange views and experiences, serve as a platform for discussing a wide range of law enforcement issues. Thanks to meetings it has been drawing together positions and deepens the interaction of the judicial systems of the CIS countries to jointly strengthen of the rule of law.

At the meeting, the Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan informed his colleagues about the upcoming reform of the judicial system of Kazakhstan within the framework of Plan of Nation "100 concrete steps - the modern state for everyone." Particular emphasis was placed on the creation of an International Financial Astana Centre and Astana Financial Court.

Within the framework of the visit there was a bilateral meeting of K. Mami with the newly elected Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic A.Tokbaeva. After the bilateral meeting, the parties spoke out for expansion of relations between the supreme courts of the two countries.
