Judges of Kazakhstan took part in the International Forum "Commercial mediation in Eastern Europe and Central Asia"

11-12 October 2016 in Minsk (Belarus) there was the International Forum on: "Commercial Mediation in Eastern Europe and Central Asia." Delegates from eleven countries participated in the event. Among them are: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine, Tajikistan and Mongolia. In addition, the representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, as well as foreign experts, Marsh Bill (moderator) - International mediator from London and Nedik Blazy - President of the National Association of Mediators of Serbia took part in the forum.

The delegation of Kazakhstan included judges of the Supreme Court Suleimenova W.A. and Pavlodar Regional Court Dzhapparova G.S .

The workshop included a review of the key issues on the development of mediation in the regions, discussion the main obstacles to reform commercial mediation in the Member States, as well as the discussion of international examples to overcome the existing problems.

A separate session was devoted to the question "How to make an effective mediation at court", which structures and models already exist, discuss experiences and approaches used in different countries.

Judges of Kazakhstan also focused on the practical issues of the work of mediation in the country and presented its vision for its further development. In his speech, the Kazakhstan judges work of the courts on the introduction of mediation was covered with the involvement of the media, public organizations and commercial structures. Particular attention was paid to the work of the memorandums of cooperation with the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan conducted educational activities and the use of judicial mediation on a competitive basis between ships. Forum participants expressed interest in the experience of Kazakhstan on the development of mediation in the courts, and expressed the wish of his takeover.

Following the Forum the judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan Suleimenova W.A. recommended to attract this kind of event, representatives of the disputing parties, for example, in the case of businesses themselves, the name of the event instead of "Commercial Mediation" has been proposed to cover both "Mediation in sphere of entrepreneurial activity."

At the end of the event, participants agreed on the establishment of dialogue and the need to share experiences between countries.
