The courts of the Mangistau region explain the provisions of the pilot project on mediation

Judge of the Mangistau regional court G. Imangaliyeva took part in the work of the "round table", the participants of which discussed matters of pre-trial settlement of disputes in order of mediation.

Judges, representatives of KSI "Public consent", Maslikhat, NGOs, mediators, heads of education and health departments, law enforcement agencies, residents of the district took part in the event in Mangistau district court.

G.Imangaliyeva, speaking, noted the importance of the pilot project of the Supreme Court on the mandatory application of the mediation institution for certain categories of disputes in civil legal proceedings. She also stressed that the project is aimed at expanding the scope of conciliation procedures, minimizing the costs of citizens' litigation, identifying the citizens’ interest in extrajudicial regulation of disputes.

Participants of the event, expressing their views on this topic, expressed their readiness to promote a wide popularization of mediation among the population with the conduct of explanatory work.

The district residents taking an active part in the event unanimously supported the pilot project and noted the need to carry out such events more often.

The work on clarifying the pilot project was continued in the Karakiyansky, Tupkaragan and Munayli districts.
