The court in the East Kazakhstan region recovered from the former accountant of the school more than 16 million tenge

The Glubokovsky District Court of the East Kazakhstan region considered a criminal case on charges of the former accountant of one of the schools of G. in committing embezzlement in a particularly large amount.

In the course of the court investigation it was established that from January 2012 to September 2016 G., being a person equal to persons authorized to perform public functions, using his official position, illegally transferred the budget funds entrusted to her to his account, as well as to Accounts of non-working people in the school. In total, thus, she was abducted 16 234 952 tenge by cashing through the terminals of the bank and caused damage to the state in an especially large amount.

The court found the former accountant of the school guilty of misappropriation of entrusted property and sentenced to six years imprisonment with confiscation of property, lifelong deprivation of the right to hold positions in the civil service, state organizations and organizations in whose authorized capital the state's share is more than fifty percent. On the basis of the Law "On Amnesty in connection with the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan", the appointed basic punishment was reduced by half - three years of imprisonment in a correctional colony of general regime.

The court also recovered from the convicted in favor of the school the amount of material damage caused - KZT 16 234 952.

The verdict did not come into legal force.
