Today, the Chairman of the Supreme Court Kairat Mami met with undergraduates and faculty of the Academy of Justice. The event was held in the building of the Supreme Court.

K. Mami recalled that Justice Academy was created on the instructions of the Head of State, pursuant to step 18 of Plan of Nation "100 specific steps - the modern state for everyone." The formation and functioning of the Academy under the Supreme Court determined one of the most important steps to ensure the rule of law. At its creation has been studied international experience, taken into account the recommendations of the OECD and the European Charter of Judges, the conclusion of the International Association of Judges and the Consultative Council of European Judges.

The Supreme Court together with the Academy prepared the entire necessary legal and regulatory framework, formed the faculty members, and resolved the issues of the financial and logistical support. Today, the Academy is fully prepared to carry out its tasks.

Addressing to undergraduates 2016, K. Mami noted that they have sufficient experience in the legal profession and have passed a serious selection in the entrance examinations. "Your first, and therefore a special graduation of the Academy of Justice of the Supreme Court must replenish the judiciary staff of the new formation: have a thorough theoretical training, successfully apply the knowledge in practice. Already, you should feel the deep sense of responsibility that rests with the servants of Themis, "- the Chairman of the Supreme Court noted.

At a meeting with the faculty of the Academy, it was stressed that the training of legal personnel of the new formation is one of the important conditions for ensuring industrial-innovative development of the country and improve its intellectual potential.

The main task of the Academy in a new status - reformatting of the learning process, taking into account the specifics of judicial activity. Today, the emphasis should be shifted from the simple transmission of information on the formation of professional competence of the judge. Having a special status, the Academy is free to develop and implement the main provisions in the educational, scientific and methodical field, define new areas of training, establish the terms and forms of their training.

"The important is the psychological, moral and ethical training of the listener to the administration of justice. Curricula and programs in the first place, should be targeted at developing the skills of law enforcement audience "- K. Mami said.

The results of the research center of the Academy should be introduced into the learning process, providing a scientific basis for the training and retraining of judicial personnel.

Prospects for further development of the Academy incorporated in the draft Judicial Education Strategy 2017 - 2020 years. He is currently under discussion and refinement.
