Chairman of the Specialized Inter-district Juvenile Court of Astana Nazilya Razzaq took part in the work of the jury to assess the projects developed.

Event was organized by Penal Reform International (PRI) in Central Asia with the support of the European Union Representative to the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Representatives of the Royal Netherlands Embassy to Kazakhstan, international experts from the UK and the Netherlands, academics, national experts, deputies, representatives of state authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, diplomatic missions and civil society took part in the event.

PRI in collaboration with the University of KazHLU and the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov, and with the support of the Royal Netherlands Embassy to Kazakhstan implements «CAPSTONE PROJECT» project aimed at the implementation of courses on human rights in Kazakhstan universities.

The aim of this project is to create a new educational tool for strengthening and developing research skills in students, in which international experts from the UK and the Netherlands in cooperation with national professors contribute to the development of students' knowledge of human rights.

Throughout the year, students of the University KazHLU and the ENU conducted research on matters relating to human rights in Kazakhstan, the rights of children in conflict with the law on education, as well as projects of international standards in criminal legislation.
