In Almaty within the framework of annual civil reads "Void transactions in Civil law" there was an International scientific and practical conference dedicated to 75th anniversary of Professor Rolf Knieper.

The rector of Caspian University Zholdasbekov Nusenov, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Almaty Renate Schimkoreit, Head of Mission of the German Society for International Cooperation in Kazakhstan, head of the project "Promoting the rule of law in Central Asia" Joerg Pudelka, chairman of the Constitutional Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan Igor Rogov, Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zauresh Baymoldina, judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan Duysen Tumabekov made a welcome speech at the forum.

The following scientific reports were made by director of the Institute of Private Law of the Caspian University Maidan Suleimenov on invalid transactions in civil law: problems of theory and practice the professor of Bremen University, Professor Emeritus of the Caspian University, Rolf Knieper about some aspects of the legal transactions invalidity, a number of scientists of Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan and other countries.

Speaking at a conference on the topic: "Void transactions: Comparative analysis of legislation and judicial practice of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation", the chairman of Karaganda regional court Musabek Alimbekov, in particular, noted that after Kazakhstan gained its independence in order to refer to signs of the formation of their own, individual legal system and under the pretext of the national peculiarities of legal doctrine, legislation and practice are often started to move away from some of the previously established and implement approaches that are identical to the modern Russian legal system. At the same time insufficiently taken into account that the penetration and consolidation of many Russian legal institutions based on the continental legal tradition, not limited to the Central Asia and Kazakhstan, and also touched upon the Mongolia, China, North Korea, Vietnam and other countries. "It is a bright and clear display of the position described is the presence and operation of the rules governing the institution of indisputable transactions and enshrined in the Civil Code. This is evident by visual comparison of the norms of the Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation in the process of their analysis "- M.Alimbekov said.

The meeting participants exchanged opinions on the speakers’ topics.
