Today the Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Mami met with OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities Astrid Turs.

At the meeting Kairat Mami noted the achieved level of relationships of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe and its institutes. |
«International peace and inter-confessional concord is a cornerstone of stability in our country. We proceed from the fact that only in case of a careful attitude to preserve an atmosphere of mutual respect between different nations it is possible to build a truly democratic and free society» - K.Mami said.
It was underlined that in our country representatives of 130 peoples and nationalities, as well as 17 confessions peacefully co-exist.
In the course of the conservation a language practice of the judicial system of Kazakhstan was discussed. It was specifically underlined that a judicial procedure in the Republic of Kazakhstan is on that language, which participants of a judicial process wished or a statement of claim was submitted to court.
Completing the meeting the Chairman of the Supreme Court expressed confidence that cooperation will enable to reach a higher level of tolerance.
