At the Supreme Court there was a meeting of judges of Kazakhstan and Germany

At the last meeting in the Supreme Court judges of Kazakhstan and Germany exchanged experiences on the matters of court consideration of cases related to the creation and use of intellectual property.

Judges of the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan Irina Kalashnikova, Galymzhan Myrzake Jeanne Ermagambetova, Aydin Nurbekov, Tynyshtyk Moldahmetova, judges of the German Federal Supreme Court Klaus Bacher and Land Court of Munich Oliver Schoen took part in the meeting. The judges of Astana, specializing in the consideration of disputes in the field of intellectual property, and representatives of the Ministry of Justice of Kazakhstan took part in discussing the current topic.

Speaking at the meeting, I.Kalashnikova noted one of the important directions in the era of globalization, the law enforcement of intellectual property.

"Protection of intellectual property rights is considered as one of the important conditions for ensuring sustainable economic growth of the republic and is particularly relevant in view of Kazakhstan's accession to the WTO. The presence in the country of an effective intellectual property protection was one of the conditions for entry to this international organization, "- the judge said.

I.Kalashnikova expressed confidence that this meeting, organized with the assistance of the Ministry of Justice and the project "Platform of the Rule of law of the EU - Central Asia" will contribute to improving the judges’ skills to consider the disputes in the area of intellectual property.

Speaking at the meeting, K.Baher noted the high quality of the administration of justice by Kazakh judges.

In the course of the meeting the sides exchanged experience and knowledge in the field of intellectual property. The participants expressed the hope that the results will be useful, and indeed the proposed recommendations will find their application in practice
