In the Supreme Court the chairman of the specialized judicial division Kadyrbaeva A.K. met with the representatives of the international law firm ReedSmith

The main field of the company practice is an international commercial arbitration and disputes between the investor and the state.

Belinda Paisley (United Kingdom), Azhar Kuzutbaeva and Adil Idrisov introduced the company, who shared their experience with the cases discussed in the largest arbitration world’s courts, including investment arbitrations, as well as in the representation of the state interests in complex investment agreements.

The parties discussed issues concerning the definition of investment disputes with the ReedSmith experience, as well as the further development of arbitration in Kazakhstan. Clarification of certain issues related to the arbitration proceedings, the arbitral award shared judge of the specialized division Madiyar Balken.

The head of the specialized division secretariat Laura Kurmantaeva informed on the tasks of the specialized division secretariat, other organizational issues and plans for the coming period.

Following the meeting, the parties exchanged constructive proposals and the possibility of joint work in organization and holding in April of the current year in Astana, International Forum on the issues voiced.
