In South Kazakhstan regional court discussed the main novellas of the Criminal Code and the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Today in South Kazakhstan regional court held a roundtable on the main novellas of the Criminal Code, the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event was attended by the chairman of the appellate judicial board on criminal cases Pirniyaz Z., judges of the regional court, chairmen and district court judges, representatives of the regional prosecutor's office, the Department of the Interior and the mass media.                                               

Opening the roundtable the chairman of the board Pirniyaz Z. noted that this event was organized in the framework of United state Plan for the transition to a new model of criminal and criminal procedure codes, approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev of April 9 2014. The meeting will consider issues such as features of the new criminal code, the punishment and its types, pre-trial proceedings in the criminal case, the prosecutor procedure and powers of production, and in legal proceedings, which concluded a procedural agreement, tacit investigations, witness entitled to the protection of his rights and obligations, the order of the proceedings relating to confiscation of property obtained by illegal means, prior to sentencing.

At the end of the event had adopted recommendations on the application of regulations of the new criminal legislation.
