In Aktobe discussed novellas of the new Criminal Code and Criminal Procedure Code of Kazakhstan

Today in Aktobe regional court held a meeting with the participation of judges, representatives of law enforcement systems, prosecutors, lawyers, local executive authorities, justice and the mass media.

During the meeting was discussed the main novellas of Criminal Code and Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the concepts and types of punishment, exemption from criminal liability, and some issues of application and effective measures to improve the court proceeding.

As noted the participants, the proposed novellas are intended to significantly simplify and speed up the work of the investigating authorities, to approximate the criminal procedure legislation to international standards, strengthen the safeguards protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens.

Following the meeting, recommendations were made to explain the main novellas to the public.
