By the courts of East Kazakhstan region during the reporting period are examined 40,117 civil cases, which is 15.1% more than the same period last year. Increased the number of cases examined with the adjudication (11.0%).

Today, in specialized inter-district court on criminal cases of North Kazakhstan region sentencing the defendants committed the murder of the first deputy chief of the Department for Combating Economic Crimes and Corruption in NKR (financial police) Zhandos Akhmetov.
Zhandos Akhmetov was shot dead on December 24 last year in his flat building. He served as head of the regional department. Witness to a crime was 12-year-old son who was killed.
