In celebration of the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan educational center of the South Kazakhstan regional court held a scientific-practical conference on: "Independence and court."
The chairman of the regional court N.Sharipov, chairmen of judicial divisions and judges of the regional court, chairmen and judges of district courts, heads, teachers and students of higher educational institutions of the region took part in the conference. There were about 80 people.
Opening the conference, the moderator of the event N.Sharipov noted that over the years of Independence Kazakhstan has achieved high success in economic, political and social development. All the achievements and victories of an independent state made possible by the vision and foresight of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy Nazarbayev N.A. Adopted during the years of independence the Constitution and other laws formed a judicial system that meets international standards. For 25 years, the courts activities contributed to a significant reduction in the prison population. If in 1991 our country in the 100 thousand people at a rate of the prison population took 3 place, then in 2016 Kazakhstan on this indicator dropped to 62 place. At the Global Competitiveness Index on the indicator « courts independence » republic took 68th place. Over the past six there is an increase of 43 positions.
Kazakh society trusts the courts. This is clearly evidenced by the sociological surveys outcomes of the persons participating in the trials. So, in 2015 on the basis of research conducted by UNDP, 71.3% of respondents of the 12 000 people expressed their satisfaction with the courts work.
Having noted the importance of the topic, the chairman of the regional court wished the participants of the conference fruitful work.
Legal scholars, judges, and the masters and students of higher educational institutions made reports on the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the implementation of judicial and legal reform. The reports were discussed topics of formation of independent Kazakhstan and the role of the President Nazarbayev N.A. in this process. Particular attention was paid to the development of an independent judiciary - cooperation of judicial authorities with international organizations, the formation of judicial personnel of the new formation, including the implementation of dual education for future lawyers.
According to the outcomes of the scientific and practical conference was adopted a resolution that expressed support for the ongoing course of the Head of State, aimed at strengthening the Independence of Kazakhstan, strengthening of the role of our country in the international arena, further development of democracy and improvement of the state authorities and our country judicial system.
