In Ridder former policeman of traffic police is fined to six million tenge for acceptance of a bribe

Ridder City Court of EKR considered a criminal case against B.Turkanov.

As stated in the hearing, B.Turkanov being a police officer of traffic police platoon, detained the offender operated a vehicle while intoxicated. For the fact that he has not made a report on administrative offense, Turkan received a bribe in the amount of 100 000 tenge.

By the court verdict B.Turkanov is found guilty of committing of a criminal offense stipulated by Article 366 of the Criminal Code. He was sentenced to a fine of sixtyfold amount of bribe (6 000 000 tenge) with confiscation of property, lifelong deprivation to hold positions in public office and in local government.

On this fact private ruling is made to the head of the local police service to take appropriate measures to eliminate the causes and conditions that facilitate the commission of a criminal offense.

The sentence and the private decision had not entered into legal force.
