K.Mami met with the Chairman of the Constitutional Supreme Court of the Arab Republic of Egypt

Today Kairat Mami met with the Chairman of the Constitutional Supreme Court of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Razek Abdel Wahab. A. Rakhmetulin, the chairman of the judicial division for Criminal Cases of the Supreme Court took part in the event.

The Chairman of the Supreme Court expressed his confidence that this meeting will play an important role in strengthening further cooperation between the judicial systems of the two states. "Relations between our countries are developing in a traditional atmosphere of mutual understanding and trust. Egypt is rightly one of Kazakhstan's key partners in North Africa, "K.Mami said.

The foreign guest was acquainted with the judicial system of the republic. Particular attention was paid to the fact that in the current year in Kazakhstan significant changes were made to the Constitution of the country. The Supreme Court, like other state authorities, has submitted its proposals for the forthcoming reform on the issues of judicial system, judicial procedure and administration of justice.

The Chairman of the Supreme Court also informed about the provisions of the Address of the Head of State to the people of Kazakhstan and the reform of the judicial system within the framework of Plan of Nation. At the same time, special emphasis was placed on the development of reconciliatory procedures, mediation, the expansion of the use of new information and communication technologies in the activities of the courts, taking into account the experience of Korea and Singapore. They draw attention to the fact that the visit program included the visit of Astana city court so that it could be detailed with all elements of electronic justice.

K.Mami noted that foreign guests will have a great opportunity to get acquainted with the achievements in the development of criminal justice in the framework of the international conference which will be held in Akbulak on March 17-18 this year.

At the end of the meeting the interlocutors called for further strengthening of the partnership relations between the courts of the two countries.
