The former akim of EKR is convicted for giving a bribe

Zharminsk district court of East Kazakhstan region considered a criminal case against the former akim of Tassaysky rural district of Kokpektinsky district S.Dolbin, in committing of an offense stipulated by p. 2 Art. 367 of the Criminal Code RK (giving a bribe to a person, who is empowered to fulfill state functions, or equated to his person).

From the case papers follows that the anti-corruption service officer conducted a criminal investigation for which it was necessary to interrogate S.Dolbin and other persons upon the installation of equipment for the vaccination of cattle.

During the pre-trial investigation S.Dolbin attempted to give a bribe for a "positive decision" of a matter on not specifying the facts to lack of equipment. During the transfer bribe in the amount of 190 thousand tenge, he was detained by the specified agency employees.

Court found S.Dolbin guilty in committing of a crime, namely, giving a bribe to an office holder. He was imposed a punishment in the form of a fine in the amount of 5.7 million tenge, without confiscation of property, with a lifelong deprivation of the right to hold public positions.

The court sentence did not enter into legal force.
