Today, in the Supreme Court, in the framework of protecting the rights of borrowers, under the chairmanship of Elis Abdykadyrov, the chairman of the Judicial board for Civil Cases of the Higher Judicial Body, there was a meeting on issues related to the collection of a commission related to the issue and servicing of bank loans and microcredits issued to an individual accounted for in calculating the annual effective interest rate
Representatives of the General Prosecutor’s Office, the National Bank, the Association of Financiers of Kazakhstan, the NGO "National League of Consumers" and the second-tier banks were invited to the meeting and voiced their positions on this issue.
After the judge of the Supreme Court Akyltay Kasimov report, they discussed problematic issues arising in the law enforcement practice, some aspects of the interpretation and application of the provisions of the banking legislation regarding charging and charging a commission for opening and maintaining current accounts related to servicing the loan.
As a result, they decided to analyze law enforcement practice and develop appropriate recommendations to local courts.
