The judges-coordinators got acquainted with the trends of media communications

Last week, the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan, jointly with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and the American Bar Association (ABA ROLI), held meetings for judges-coordinators on media relations.

The first event was on the trends of media communications in contexts of implementing administrative justice. Aslan Tukiev, the judge of the Supreme Court, when speaking about the first results of the work of the new courts, informed about the need to respect the principle of transparency in the framework of administrative justice.

Zauresh Shutova, Head of the Representative Office of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Nur-Sultan, held a master class on public speaking skills. Yeldos Zhumaksanov and Gulmira Mukhanbetzhanova, the representatives of the Supreme Court, talked about the methodology for promoting judicial information in media and social networks.

International experience in developing communication strategies for judicial systems was discussed in the second expert meeting. Speakers Reda Moliene and Zivile Navickaite-Babkin shared their vision of building modern judicial communication.

Elena Maksyuta and Nazgul Rakhmetullina, judges of the Supreme Court, spoke about the work of the Communication Center of the highest judicial body and the provision of feedback to the public.

Based on the results of the events, relevant recommendations were developed.
