Shakhtinsk town court of the Karaganda region passed a guilty verdict on the procedural agreement on the recognition of guilt in relation to O. in the commission of a crime provided for by part 2 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code (acceptance of a bribe).

O, being an official, during a meeting with a private notary acting in the interests of J. and S., received a bribe in the form of money in considerable amount for the illegal registration of an apartment in Shakhtinsk. In the course of the pre-trial investigation, O. admitted his guilt and voluntarily expressed a desire to conclude a procedural agreement.

The court imposed A. a penalty in the form of a fine in the amount of sixty times the amount of a bribe (15,000,000 tenge) with the confiscation of property in his possession, acquired by criminal means or acquired with funds obtained by criminal means, as well as property that is an instrument or means of committing a criminal offenses, with a lifelong deprivation of the right to hold positions in the public service.
