It has been pronounced a sentence against police officers

Uralsk city court considered the criminal case against two police officers upon the fact of corruption offense.

According to the criminal case papers in August 2015 operations officer of Abay police department of Uralsk DIA M.Sabenov through intermediary of the district inspector R.Kubaydulliev received of the requested bribe in the amount of  100 000 tenge from a citizen for not bringing to justice those perpetrators. The remaining amount of 150 thousand tenge they received the next day.

At the hearing the accused admitted their guilt in full.

By court verdict M.Sabenov is found guilty under Part 2 of Art. 366 (acceptance of a bribe) of the Criminal Code RK. He was imposed a fine in the amount of sixty fold amount of bribe, that is 15 000 000 tenge, with confiscation of property belonging to him with deprivation of the right to hold positions in public office for life.

R.Kubaydullaev is found guilty under Part 2 of Art. 368 (mediation in bribery) of the Criminal Code RK. He was imposed a fine in the amount of twenty fold bribe, that is 5 million tenge with the confiscation of property belonging to him with deprivation of the right to hold positions in public office for life.

In addition, the defendants were deprived of special ranks: M.Sabenov - "Lieutenant of police", R.Kubaydulliev "senior lieutenant of police."

The verdict has not entered into legal force.
