14 Kazakhstani judges and specialists of the courts have completed the course in the UK

The official delivery of certificates to Kazakhstanis on the successful completion of a six-month intensive course of education in Law was held at the main office of the Law Society of England and Wales in London.

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Great Britain Yerlan Idrissov, a member of the leadership of the Legal Society of England and Wales Tony Fisher, the representatives of academy, judicial, legal and banking structures of Great Britain took part in the event.

Speaking at the ceremony of awarding certificates, Ye. Idrissov expressed confidence that Kazakhstani people will actively use the valuable knowledge and skills received during the training in the work of the Astana International Financial Center (AIFC), where, as it is known, the principles of English law will operate. "The graduates of the program will become a kind of bridge for expansion and strengthening of ties between the legal structures, business, state bodies of Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom," the Ambassador said.

In his turn, T. Fisher stressed the uniqueness of a special course that allowed the Kazakh lawyers to combine the basic elements of the academic programs of the legal undergraduate, master's program in law, legal practice for solicitors and training courses for professional lawyers in a short period of time. He also expressed his hope that taking into account the ambitious prospects of the AIFC this unique pilot educational project for the legal system of Kazakhstan will have an active continuation with the support of the Bolashak program.

A judge of the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan Madiyar Balken thanked the British partners for supporting the internship program, shared the latest achievements of Kazakhstan's judicial and legal reform, noting the rise of the republic's position in studies of authoritative international organizations and rating agencies. M. Balken also noted the development of the national economy and urged the British business community to develop cooperation with Kazakhstani colleagues actively, expressing his confidence in the prospects of the Kazakh-British partnership.

The training was organized with the support of the international scholarship "Bolashak" on the initiative of the leadership of the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan and AIFC. The course is specifically focused on the needs of the AIFC, the adoption of measures to ensure the rule of law and conducted by the British side on the basis of the authoritative City University of London.

During six months of training, Kazakh lawyers underwent special intensive legal training in mastering the key principles of English general, commercial, contractual and entrepreneurial law. In the framework of training, an internship and practice was organized for Kazakhstani sacerdote di Temi in British commercial courts, the Bar Chamber, international legal, financial companies and the EBRD.
