Nazim Tanatarovna in 1965 began working as a laboratory assistant preparatory of zonal agrochemical laboratory of Atyrau. In 1971, after graduating from the Kazakh State University named after S. Kirov, she worked as a junior researcher at the Department of forensic investigations of Almaty.

N.Suhanova worked as a member of the Mangyshlak (now - Mangistau) Regional Court, Guryev (now - Atyrau) Municipal Court, the Almaty City Court. From 1994 to 2008 she worked successfully as a judge of the Supreme Court, and where had retired. She was chairman of the division on civil cases of the Supreme Court.
