An online interagency meeting was held at the Supreme Court on implementing the plan of priority measures in the field of human rights.

The representatives of the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Information and Social Development, the Anti-Corruption Agency, the General Prosecutor’s Office, the National Security Committee, and the National Center for Human Rights attended the event.

The specified plan was adopted in June of this year. Among the operational measures to be carried out by the end of this year, the outlined task was updating three regulatory resolutions of the Supreme Court.

So, at the initiative of the involved governmental bodies, it is planned to amend the following regulatory resolutions:

 “On practice for enforcement of the legislation establishing liability for human trafficking”;

“On the application of the norms of criminal and criminal procedural legislation on the observance of personal freedom and inviolability of human dignity, counteraction to torture, violence, and other cruel or dehumanizing treatment and punishment”;

“On certain issues of imposing criminal punishment”.

Together with the meeting participants, it was discussed what concepts in the regulatory resolutions require extended interpretation. In turn, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs proposed providing information on international experience in law enforcement practice.
