Mangistau regional court concluded a multilateral Memorandum of Cooperation with the representatives of bodies of executive power

The memorandum was signed by the chairman of the judicial division of criminal cases of the regional court Yerzhan Karabayev and the deputy akim of the region Maralbek Seilov as well as the deputy akims of the cities of Aktau, Zhanaozen - Tilek Kashmagambetov and Sabit Seidaliyev, Tupkaragan, Munaily, Beineu and Karakiya districts - Zhanseit Kainazarov, Bakhyt Suleimenov, Berik Yanatov and Yerzhan Kumiskaliev.

The signed multilateral agreement presupposes not only the provision of quality formation and preparation of lists of candidates for jurors in all cities and districts of the region by the executive authorities, active law-explaining work among the residents of the region in order to develop a principled position on the performance of civil debt for potential jurors to the society by the local akimats will also consolidate the main directions of further cooperation in the issues of development of the judicial system, its openness and accessibility to the population will undoubtedly be aimed at increasing the legal literacy of the society, eradicating legal nihilism and will serve as a pledge of strengthening public confidence in the courts.

One of the main objectives of the document is to ensure the practical implementation of the ongoing judicial reform, the observance of the operational access of citizens involved in the judicial process, judicial and legal information.

Summing up the meeting, all participants noted that the signing of the Memorandum will serve as a new vector for wider monitoring of jury candidates and increasing the total number of potential jurors, for which the structures of social and legal assistance from representatives of non-governmental organizations will be actively involved.
