Expansion of a sphere of application of the state language

Today a “round table” on issues of expansion of a sphere of application of the state language was held in the specialized administrative court of the city Semey.

Representatives of courts, prosecutor’s office, bodies of internal affairs, justice, customs, tax service and representatives of the bar association of the city Semey took part in the discussion.

During the event the judge of the administrative court of the city Semey Gibrat Valiyev noted that: «Preservation and development of the Kazakh language is a sacred duty of each citizen of our country, moreover of state authorities, who are called upon to observe the law. In the past year out of 8586 cases, which were considered in the administrative court of the city Semey, only 898 were on the state language (10 %). Judicial authorities, who conduct a case according to the law on that language, on which the case was submitted, are not guilty in this».

At the «round table» an attention was paid to the fact that representatives of internal affairs bodies during execution of relevant documents, for consideration in the administrative court, use in most cases the Russian language, whereas participants of a process speak the Kazakh language. All this creates not only complications in a process of a court trial, but also violates their legal rights. 

Upon completion of the round table participants took into account the specified remarks and discussed approaches on their removal. In the nearest time a special accent will be put on an explanatory work among employees of courts and concerned state authorities.
