The court found that on May 24 this year a video without a title with the collapse of the building of a multi-storey building was received on the "WhatsApp" number belonging to P. Having looked it through, P. knowing that this fact occurred in another country, signed it: "URGENTLY EMERGENCY EXCLUSIVE. Kazakhstan. The City of Semey. The video was viewed by 413,158 Internet users and they expressed their indignation with false information both on the Internet and by phone calls to law enforcement agencies.

The Semey Prosecutor on the one hand, the defendant and his defender on the other hand, entered into a procedural agreement in the form of a plea bargain.

Court No. 2 of Semey found P. guilty for disseminating deliberately false information and sentenced him 2 years 6 months of restriction of freedom.
