Chairman of Almaty City Court visited city courts

The Almaty City Court set up the ‘Perfect Court’ pilot project in February to improve the efficiency of the court and increase people's trust in the framework of the implementation of the priority tasks of the Supreme Court.

4 Almaty courts are involved In the pilot project: Medeu and Bostandyk district courts, district court No. 2 of Medeu district (criminal jurisdiction) and district court No. 2 of Bostandyk district (criminal jurisdiction). These courts were visited by the chairman of the Almaty City Court Nurgazy Abdikanov, the judge Kadicha Absimetova and the head of the Court Administrator Daniyar Kirikbayev.

They examined the conditions created in the framework of the project for a comfortable visit of citizens in the buildings of the courts, got acquainted with the procedure for considering appeals from individuals and legal entities with a view to reduce the reception of complaints about the judges’ actions and court personnel. The chairman of the city court considered the work of information kiosks equipped with the necessary equipment to provide visitors with information of interest to them, mediator's offices and citizens' reception immediately.

It is noted that the analysis of the work within the framework of the project is necessary to develop the system for the rational use of working time, both by judges in judicature, and by court specialists in the performance of their functional duties.

"One of the key factors affecting the level of people's trust in courts is the level of satisfaction of users with the quality of judicial services. The assessment of the courts activities is closely connected with the issues of optimal organization of work, the quality of services, the personnel of the courts and the proper material and technical conditions, judicial load and optimal use of resources," N. Abdikanov said.

As part of the working visit, N. Abdikanov held a reception of citizens. The questions were addressed by the mediators and residents of the district who were able to get full replies to their questions. The chairman of the city court gave specific instructions on issues requiring special attention.
