In Astana, journalists and bloggers discussed the matters on freedom of expression and intolerance vocabulary on the Internet

April 19 of the current year, in Astana started its work two-day training on "Freedom of expression and intolerance vocabulary on the Internet."

The training organized under the auspices of the OSCE Office programs in Astana and Public Foundation "Legal media center" is aimed at journalists, bloggers, experts of press offices of state authorities, as well as users of Internet social networks.

The director of the School of Peacemaking and Media Technologies in Central Asia (Kyrgyzstan) Inga Sikorskaya, representatives of the Information and Analysis Center "Owl" (Russian Federation) Alexander Verkhovskii and Natalia Yudina, as well as the Public Foundation "Legal media center" (Kazakhstan ) Diana Okremova and Gulmira Birzhanova acted as experts in the training.

The judges of the Supreme Court Erbol Rakhymbekov and Elena Maksyuta, as well as deputy head of the press office of the Supreme Court Aidos Saduakasov took part in the training. 

The participants expressed their opinions on freedom of expression and intolerance vocabulary on the Internet, international law and national legislation of the OSCE, the criminalization boundaries and the possible abuse limitation of freedom of speech, public opposition on the internet, blocking, and removal of inflammatory racist content on the Internet. Also they discussed the use of materials related to terrorism, the competent broadcasting information about conflict media texts and visual content.

Similar training is planned to be held on April 21-22 in Almaty.
