District police inspector assistant was convicted of acceptance of a bribe in the amount of 5000 tenge

Munailinsk district court considered a criminal case under part 1 Art.366 of the Criminal Code RK (acceptance of a bribe by a person, who is empowered to fulfill state functions, equated to his person, who holds a senior public position) against a district inspector assistant of Atameken village of Munailinsk district E.Dosymbaev.

On 16th of April, 2015 E.Dosymbaev using his official position demanded 20 thousand tenge from a detained citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan E.Alimbetov for committing an administrative offense. The indicated sum he demanded for not taking measures against his deportation from the Republic of Kazakhstan. After which he was detained by employees of the Internal Investigation Division of the region when acceptance of a bribe in the amount of 5000 tenge.

At trial, E. Dosymbaev defendant didn’t admit his guilty, didn’t repent, he asked the court to acquit.

However, at hearing E. Dosymbaev’s guilt was proved in full by criminal case papers, including put in material evidence.

The court found E.Dosymbaev guilty of attempting to acceptance of a bribe under part 3 of Article 24 part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code RK. As punishment he was imposed deprivation of liberty for a period up to one year with confiscation of property, with deprivation of the right to hold public positions for life.

Court sentence did not enter into legal force.
