The Court of Astana held a "round table" to discuss a pilot project for the implementation of pre-trial settlement of disputes (conflicts) in certain categories of disputes in the order of mediation.

The judges of the capital, representatives of the Nur Otan branch, the Apparatus of akim of Astana, the branch of the Union of Judges, the NGO "International Center for the Protection of Human Rights and Consumers", the NGO "Mediation Development Center", the City Directorate of Labor and Energy, the Notary Chamber, the Chamber of Entrepreneurs, the Bar Association and insurance companies took part in the discussion.

Speaking, the judge of the city court G.Rahmetova noted the prospects and advantages of the draft developed by the Supreme Court. The judge drew attention to the categories of disputes on which it is necessary to carry out the mediation procedure. "The pilot draft provides for the regulation of pre-trial disputes on alimony obligations for children, divorce, division of property and inheritance, eviction, labor economic, juvenile, district and equivalent courts specializing in civil cases," the judge of the city court S.Alimbaeva said.

The judges expressed their conviction that the project would give a new impetus to the further development of the institution of mediation, the expansion of the scope of conciliatory procedures, the minimization of the court expenses of citizens and the interest of the population in the extrajudicial settlement of the dispute.

At the end of the event, the judges called on those present to the collegial implementation of the pilot draft.
