North-Kazakhstan regional court held a seminar for judges-mentors

There was a training seminar for judges-mentors on matters arising in the implementation of mentoring in the North-Kazakhstan regional court.

Opening the meeting, the chairman of the regional court Erlan Aitzhanov recalled the mentoring institution effectively acting in the judicial system to help newly appointed judges. This institution is designed to facilitate the process of becoming a novice judge as a qualified lawyer, the development of his professional skills, creative activity and the fastest adaptation in the staff.

E. Aitzhanov emphasized that mentors are chosen from among experienced judges who have a long record of judicial work and who have earned respect by knowledge of the law and the skills of working as a judge.

According to the chairman of the Council of Mentors, the judge of the regional court Gulzia Edrisova, there are 15 judges in the region with a work experience of up to two years, 4 - up to one year, 30 - up to three years. That is, it is almost a third of all judges of the region. "All of them need your support - mentoring," she noted.

Judge-mentor of the court No. 2 of Petropavlovsk Nuria Maldybaeva spoke about the problematic issues arising in the implementation of mentoring. Serikbol Sapargaliyev, judge of the specialized inter-district economic court, told about the organization of mentoring.

Participants of the seminar discussed the matters of organization of the judge's working day, the conduct of the trial process, the correct application of the norms of national legislation and international legal acts, and much more.

At the end of the event, the mentors were given specific recommendations for improving the quality of mentoring activities.
