Judges of Kazakhstan took part in the VI Expert Forum on Criminal Justice in Tashkent

VI Expert Forum on Criminal Justice in Central Asia held in Tashkent the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), together with other OSCE field operations.

Over hundreds of politicians, scientists, lawyers and civil society representatives from Central Asian countries participated in the forum - discussing recent reform initiatives, current issues and ways to overcome them in the field of criminal justice.

The delegation of Kazakhstan at the forum presented the judge of the Supreme Court Kambar Nuryshev and chairman of the Saryarka District Court of Astana Arman Zhukenov.

Forum participants shared their experiences for improving the implementation of information technology in the courts, electronic legal proceedings application, information security in the implementation of ICT in the work of the courts and other relevant topics. It was stressed that further implementation of ICT in the work of the courts is an effective method of ensuring transparency and access to justice, improve efficiency and workflow efficiency in the courts and strengthen the promotion of legal knowledge in the society.

According to the speakers, large-scale measures to reform the judicial system, the constant improvement of the legislation are to ensure the rights and interests of citizens.
