East Kazakhstan Regional Court held a "round table" on: "Court practice in the consideration of materials on release on parole from punishment, replacing the unserved part of the punishment with a milder punishment, the transfer of the colony-settlement."

The chairman of the judicial division for criminal cases K.Chakpantaev, judges, prosecutors’ representatives, correctional officers, probation officers, lawyers and mediators took part in its work.

Speaking at the "round table", K.Chakpantaev noted that the Law "On amendments and addenda to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on improvement of law enforcement and further humanization of criminal legislation" dated November 9, 2011 introduced amendments to the Criminal Executive, the Criminal Code on the matters of release on parole from punishment and replace deserved part of punishment with a milder punishment.

In the discussion on the consideration of materials about the release on parole hearings the judges, prosecutors representatives, correctional officers, probation officers and mediators.

There was a lively exchange of views.
