Today, on the basis of the Academy of Justice under the Supreme Court started a seminar on resolving issues in the field of rehabilitation and bankruptcy of legal entities in Kazakhstan. The seminar is held within the framework of the Project for institutional strengthening of the justice sector.
The judge of the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan Askar Smilov, judges of the Republic, a judge of the Russian Supreme Court Irina Bukina, an expert on financial sector of the World Bank Fernando Dankauza, Professor David Burdett (United Kingdom), corporate law professor, an expert on bankruptcy Ignacio Tirado ( Spain), as well as representatives of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan, the Union of professional managers in bankruptcy procedures, second-tier banks took part in the seminar.
The first part of the seminar held in the form of "round table", on which the main problems in the implementation of the bankruptcy law were discussed.
In the second part of the workshop I.Bukina familiarized participants with the Russian system of individual bankruptcy.
The participants discussed the importance of modernization of the bankruptcy system, the role of the courts, professionals, parties in the bankruptcy proceedings, the basic elements of rehabilitation procedures, current trends liquidation procedures.
