Anti-corruption

One of the priority directions of the activity of the Supreme Court RK is prevention of corruption offence in the judicial system.

In order to activate the work in this direction by the decree of the Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan an independent structural subdivision – Department of internal security and prevention of corruption in courts – was established in the Department for provision of courts’ activity under the Supreme Court.

Analogous structural subdivisions were formed in registries of regional and equivalent courts. Coordination of the activity of territorial departments and determining tasks before them was laid on the department of internal security and prevention of corruption.

The department of internal security and prevention of corruption and its territorial subdivisions hold preventive measures on a permanent basis, aimed at execution of tasks, determined by the department of internal security.

For the purpose of fighting elements of corruption, as well as possibility of citizens to address in case of arising corrupt practices, the department developed and launched a mechanism of holding an everyday reception of citizens by chiefs of territorial departments.

Besides, in order to prevent corruptogenic factors in the activity of the judiciary establishment and officials of courts and for the purpose of a quick reaction, the department holds the work by the so-called «trust line» (Call-center).

This introduction bears additional conditions for timely reacting statements, suggestions, complaints of citizens, receipt of messages about law violations from the side of the judiciary establishment and officials of courts.

In order to instruct about anti-corruption in the judicial system, the department of internal security and prevention of corruption developed the Plan of realization of an image policy of authorities of the judicial system, which provides for the work with officials of the judicial system, as well as the work with the society.

The department of internal security and prevention of corruption is aimed at a planned prevention of corruption in the judicial system and achievement of a zero indicator while assessing the level of corruptness among state authorities.
